Frilly Thrills - Mixing Neutrals OOTD

Hey guys! Thanksgiving break is now officially over and I hope you guys had a wonderful time eating, giving thanks, and let's not forget about Black Friday (if you want to see my haul, go check out my YouTube channel)!

Anyways, today is a somewhat different kind of Outfit of the Day. Hmm. Let's get into it.

Okay, so I adore this top! It's on the longer side, so I can wear it in a kind of tunic style- which means I think its an OK situation to wear leggings with! Its also pretty plain up to- and then has lots of frills at the waistline... which I love- it creates a more curvy figure. It reminds me of the huge peplum trend, though in a more girly, young way.

I wore a long necklace along with a belt with this top... The belt cinches in the waist and I love the golden hardware- it gives a somewhat edgier vibe.
The long necklace also streamlines the look while tying in all the neutrals (I wore brown, black, and grey in a variation of tones in this outfit) because of the colors. It's a beautiful piece!

I wore this with a nice black structured bag that has a cool texture- it's really simple and it goes well with this outfit in my opinion.

The shoes I wore were black riding-boot style boots.. I like them because they have great simplicity and the combination of tall black boots with leggings makes my legs seem slimmer and longer!

And finally, for bracelets..I added a touch of color with my red bracelet, but stuck with some neutrals I wore with the other two.

Thanksgiving...

I hope you guys all had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday.

I am thankful for a lot of things :) There is no such thing as not being thankful- everyone has at least one thing to be thankful for.

For instance, being alive- being able to read these words on the screen of your computer. I'm very grateful and blessed to have an oppurtunity to live this life and have a family and friends that I care about.

Even things you wouldn't think about are things that people should be grateful for, because some people may not have those things.

Some people don't have a warm bed to sleep in, clothes, shoes, a home, food, water.

I'm grateful for all these things.

Thanks to all of you for sticking with me! There will be more posts up soon, and maybe even a new blog is coming along the way? Stay tuned!

In the meanwhile...

What are you thankful for?

Matchy Matchy - Art Spirit OOTD

Hey guys! :) So this is now Thanksgiving break, so I'll try upload all the OOTDs I have stored for you. :) Happy Thanksgiving! :D
So as you might know, I'm part of many extracurriculurs- and Art is one of them! The outfit I wore was for spirit day for Art and let me just say it matches A LOT.

Yup.

My shirt is just a plain white tee shirt with red lining on the sleeves and neck which makes it cute and unique. Obviously, it says ART in a big white, red, yellow color scheme, which I incorporated later throughout the outfit.

I went with a simple necklace- black and silver beads with a longhorn charm to add a bit of simplicity.

For bracelets, I went with a different array of beaded ones- cranberry red, red, and golden, which all went very well with the whole color scheme... You can't notice it, but it also has some white and silver beads as well- which go well with the necklace!

And for bottoms? I went with red skinny jeans- yes matching overload. And my favorite pair of chalkboard-style converse which have been worn for soooooooo long they have this classic beaten up effect that I actually really enjoy for an outfit such as this. :)

Anyways. Pretty simple, mundane in fact. I'm considering where Chochalistas is going to go, actually. I'm considering labeling this a more of a casual lifestyle blog. If I title this a fashion, or beauty, blog, then I feel like I have to make it very professional- and as you can see, I've been keeping this pretty low key.

Anyways, that was today's post. Be expecting more! I should have more beauty-related posts up too, like reviews.

Bye for now, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Gradient Blue - Themed OOTD

Hey guys! So sorry. Been lazy with my updates. :) Today I had a themed outfit, color blue. I think as the days get cooler, the color blue is a way to translate the temperature into fashion!

So on top, I wore a simple blue cami and threw a long blue-gray cardigan over it with a blue-white-grey paisley scarf to give it a more warm, school-appropriate touch. I thought it was a great way to incorporate a monochromatic color scheme in a stylish way without being too washed out blue. I mean, its a mixing of patterns- paisley, stripes, solid, but I think the monochromatic color scheme makes it appropriate.

I wore this with simple blue jeans and my always appearing white-gold bracelet to somewhat contrast the look.

Anyways, thank you guys for sticking with me. :)

Ivy League Love- Midterms Casual OOTD

With midterms and end-of-semester tests coming up, everyone's been getting so stressed. During these times, I love to just go into the casual attire.. especially the with cold weather, casual is really easy to pull off in a cute way.

So I didn't name this post Ivy League love without a reason! Today the shirt I have on is a thermal/sweater with the lettering- Cornell in big red letters down the side. Since it's a thermal/sweater it's really warm and I love how the lettering goes down the side- it lengthens the body a lot. Cornell is an Ivy league that I used to live really near up in New York!

Warning. This is a pretty casual outfit! :D Hehe. I love casual. So for my bottoms, I went with some classic black leggings.
Leggings. Hm. One of the biggest fashion style controversies. Is it a do or don't to wear leggings as pants? For the longest time, I was like "don't, don't, don't". But I think, if worn in the right way, and in a classy way, some people can pull it off. As casual attire it definitely works- I think it would've been cuter if these leggings were white-and-black tribal print (I have yet to find such leggings such as those) but classic black works with color scheme of black-red-white, as there are black borders around the Cornell red lettering.
The Cornell thermal/sweater is long, so I thought it was acceptable to wear with leggings. As long as the shirt/sweater you're wearing covers your bottom, I think leggings are not too indecent to wear.

To add some edge and trend to an otherwise laid back look, I threw a leather jacket on, it has silver zippers and detailing, which I adore, and it's red- which definitely goes with the color scheme and adds some warmth to the look! It's also a very unexpected color compared to black and brown leather jackets.

The following are the accessories I wore with this- re-used pictures, sorry guys! Anyways, pretty self explanatory, red and matching as always.

For shoes, I AGAIN wore my Tommy Hilfiger boots. One thing you will notice about me is that I love to rewear items. I dunno. I believe in purchasing quality material and wearing it over and over again. I wear em out (: I love wearing black boots with black leggings because it really lengthens the legs.

Shirt- Cornell
Leggings- Target
Necklace- Claire's
Bracelet- BCBGeneration
Boots- Tommy Hilfiger
Jacket- JouJou (TJMaxx)

I'm kind of not in schedule, but hopefully I will get back into it!

If any of you are having midterms soon, good luck!!

Back to studying..
